Linx 9920 series

The Linx 9920 is part of the Linx 9900 Series of Continuous Inkjet (CIJ) printers, developed to provide increased print capability with less maintenance. With high-speed printing performance, AutoFlush® printhead technology, Linx PrintProtect® battery backup, and a user-friendly 10-inch full-colour touchscreen, the Linx 9920 helps manufacturers maximise production uptime, simplify changeovers, and maintain reliable coding performance. It also supports advanced coding formats, production monitoring, and flexible integration with production systems.

1. Increased print capability:
   Supports up to 6 lines of print, including text, dates, times, graphics, logos, sequential numbering, barcodes, Data Matrix, GS1 Data Matrix, and QR Codes.
2. High-speed printing:
   Delivers speeds of up to 6.28 m/s for single-line printing with the MK11 Mini printhead, up to 6.25 m/s with the MK11 Midi printhead, and up to 7.28 m/s with the MK11 Midi Plus printhead.
3. AutoFlush® printhead cleaning:
   Uses an automatic start and stop cleaning routine designed to prevent blocked nozzles, reduce ink build-up, and minimise daily maintenance and unplanned downtime.
4. Linx PrintProtect® battery backup:
   Allows printing to continue for up to 3 minutes during power interruptions and provides up to 9 minutes of battery-powered jet operation when moving the printer between production lines.
5. Fast and repeatable changeovers:
   Stores up to 1,000 messages and 50 production line settings. Stored line settings can also be transferred between printers using a USB drive.
6. 10-inch full-colour touchscreen:
   Features an intuitive icon-led interface, quick language selection, a customisable home screen, prompted text fields, a GS1 Data Matrix code builder, and guided on-screen maintenance wizards.
7. Linx QuickSwitch®:
   Enables real-time message changes from external production devices or barcode scanners, helping accelerate product changeovers and reduce the risk of incorrect code selection.
8. Linx Iris® Vision System compatibility:
   Supports automated code inspection to detect missing codes, incorrect positioning, missing characters, invalid dates, distorted characters, and other coding issues without requiring manual inspection.
9. Remote monitoring and integration:
   Linx PrinterNet® and REST API connectivity provide remote printer monitoring, production insights, automated code setup, production management, and flexible integration with IT and production systems.
10. Active Airflow Control®:
    Available as an option to reduce solvent consumption by up to 42%, helping lower running costs and reduce the frequency of printer refills.
11. EasiChange® service module:
    Enables servicing in approximately 30 minutes with only 0.5 litres of ink changed. The Linx 9920 can achieve service intervals of up to 24 months, depending on the ink type.
12. Available printheads:
    Available with the MK11 Mini Printhead 50 μm, MK11 Midi Printhead 62 μm, and MK11 Midi Plus Printhead 75 μm, providing flexibility for different character sizes and printing requirements.
